I am switching out some of my hair staples. I probably won’t be making any changes again unless my hair needs change. Keeping it simple is the reason I believe my hair is thriving.

I’m going to have to do a video showing all of the products I use, though my list isn’t very long lol.

I shed some tears while editing this video, and I have yet to watch it straight through without crying. I’ve been at this a while, and so much has happened since I first started. I’ve lost more than I could’ve ever imagined.

If I told the woman in that first video what all we’d go through over the next five years, and where we’d eventually end up, she wouldn’t even believe me.

She lost her dad.
She lost her home.
She lost her spirit.
She lost her memory.
And for a while, she lost her strength and almost lost her will to live.

But in time, she gained her voice.
Her confidence.
Her resilience.
Her belief.
Her faith.
Her memory.
Her health.

Somewhere along the way, I found a version of myself that I have never known and I watched it take place frame by frame. I’ve lost a lot, but I’ve also gained more than I could’ve ever imagined.

I laid in bed this morning and the idea came to me to put this video together. Both for me, because I needed the reminder of just how far I’ve come, and for anyone else who may be stuck where I was in many of these frames.

I’m so grateful that she kept going because something within her believed we could get here. And if I could keep going, you can too 🤎.
